Are we going to be seeing too many spin-off movies?

According to Den of Geek "The site reports that he's involved in two spin-offs. There's the one we know of - The Expendabelles - and there's also a 'next generation' Expendables in the planning stages." The 'he' in that quote is Sylvester Stallone :) Sorry, no Jet Li spin-off yet.

oh, no - they'll be bad....the Expendables are bad, but so bad they're good (and you love all the old action heros)...

I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter spinoff. While there are lot of spin-offs, and some are bound to be naff, I don't think you can band the whole group together, and say there too many. With everything, it all depends on how well it's done.

You know what, I think this is great! Yes, it's probably a money-grab in many cases but it expands on wonderful worlds. A Minions movie spun off of Despicable Me? Absolutely! A Boba Fett origin movie? Bring it on! As long as the stories are good, and the characters interesting, I say the more the better.
