The first trailer for 50 Shades of Grey has been released and has caused an absolute uproar in many circles. The story was originally a work of erotic fan-fiction based on the Twilight series but was later reworked into it’s own stand-alone trilogy.

50 Shades of Grey is the story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. It revolves around their meeting, lust, and sexual exploration, which involves some BDSM.

Many are calling for a ban of the trailer and of the movie.

What do you think, is it too sexy? Many of the groups calling for the ban states that this kind of film promotes violence against women, or that 50 Shades is nothing more than pornography. What do you think? Does the movie go too far?

To be honest, I suspect the banning thing is a set up for publicity...Did I watch the right trailer? They just kiss and the you see the mask at the end? I don't think that is close to being banned...That said, doesn't make me want to see the movie either - not that I was going to...I think they're doing the hard sell on a lame dog...
I don't know what they are making such a fuss about. I don't see anything wrong with the trailer at all. There are trailers a lot more explicit than that. As long as the film is rated 18, I don't know why it should be banned. If you don't want to see the film, don't see it. Why stop others from doing so?

Why should it be banned?
I have no idea what it is about, apart from sex, and have no wish to see it either (not that I am against this kind of movie) just that I do not like all the hype this book has been given, and therefore the free publicity.

I don't think the film should be banned. As for the idea of it promoting violence against women the sex is consensual.
It's hard to say not having seen the movie, but based on what I've heard I wouldn't think it would warrant being banned. There have been a few attempts to ban the book.
No I don't think it should be banned. That would be against the "freedom of expression". Also, as long as it gets the relevant and appropriate rating, banning is not the way to go.
I have seen the trailer.
I am thinking it may get crazy further into the movie,if that is the case I am concerned young people will go see the movie, and go and try out the stuff.
That's not healthy or wise, it can cause issues within a relationship.
One would have to see the whole movie.
