The Imitation Game is a film about Enigma Codebreaker, Alan Turing. It has been received very well, except for one criticism that it did not show the relationship between Alan and his friend/fiancÚ, Joan, strongly enough. Do you agree, or do you think the balance was just right?

I was surprised when I read this criticism, as I do not agree with it at all. Although I think the relationship is downplayed, had they put more emphasis on it, I think it would have felt forced and just there for the sake of dramatic relationship. The story is far more interesting and heartfelt the way it is now.
I'm quite surprised reading that. I thought the relationship was portrayed very well and didn't come across as forced or exaggerated, which Hollywood has a tendency to do.

Maybe that is because it is a British film rather than a Hollywood film that that's the case. Although they did collab with America a bit.
