Science fiction is a diverse movie genre with tons of subgenres. You’ve got space sci-fi, dystopian sci-fi, techno sci-fi, time travel sci-fi and on and on. What science fiction movie rates at the top of your list? What made it so good? The stars, the plot, the special effects?

I don't mind a bit of space or robots but time travel is my favourite - but it never really works. I liked 11A.M a lot, I thought they did a good job by keeping it simple.
The X-Files Movie: Fight The Future without a doubt is my favourite.
Although considered a comedy, Spaceballs is certainly also a sci-fi film and it is by far my favourite sci-fi. Science fiction is such a huge genre but nothing stands the test of time like a good parody!
