I also prefer watching movies at home. I actually really prefer streaming movies. Sure, you need a solid internet connection, but Iíve really been going through a faze where Iím trying to declutter my life. The less physical things I have, the better.
Definitely the pictures with the large screen and sound coming from everywhere. However I am basically lazy and love staying home, so I do not often go to the pictures.
I rarely watch a DVD as I wait till it comes to TV, record it and watch so I can skip the ads.
We have a yearly $35 subscription to see 'arthouse' films, at our local art gallery, so I'd rather do that that go to a big movie theatre. 'Our' little theatre just holds about 40 people, & the same 1 film is shown 4 times a week.
I enjoy seeing movies in the cinema a lot more but I don't get out to do that terribly often. I have two young kids and can't take them to movies that wouldn't be suitable for them. Sometimes we all go to the drive in as a family, which is a lot of fun too. Failing that I watch things on TV or Netflix.
