Marilyn Monroe. A classic blonde bombshell, but a very intriguing lady.
I think that would have to be either Humphrey Bogart or Kathryn Hepburn who was so graceful.

There are many more I like and think were great however you only wanted one!

I just saw Katherine Hepburn in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner; she is very good.
Oh! Finy, watch KH in 'The Lion in Winter'. 1968. You can see her head shake greatly in various scenes. Start of Parkinson's for her.

Classic Hollywood isn't really my what I like, but I have seen a number from that era when doing Film Studies, and I think Bette Davis is very good.
Charles Laughton without a doubt. With stellar movies like "Witness for the Prosecution" "Spartacus" "Hunchback of Notre Dame" and the list goes on has guaranteed Laughton's place in film history. He had that "little something extra that Ellen Terry talked about". His acting method, in addition was superb, because you never saw him act. I call him "The Laughton Man" just as Ethel Merman is called "The Merm" out of respect for his talent.
Oh! Camel, CL had one extremely disgusting habit. Never liked him, even before I read about it.
