Jersey Boys the film love it or hate it

I didn't see the stage show, but everyone I know who did (and loved it), refuses to see the film. On the otherhand, I'm tempted because it's directed by Clint Eastwood.

Did you go to both? Did you like both? Did you go to one but skip the other, and if so, why?
Lastly, is it worth a watch?
